News from the Steering Group
It is great to be back singing and lovely to be working on new songs together with old numbers. The new way of the steering group attending to Mainesong logistics (bank account, venue hire, registrations etc. and hiring Wendy as musical director) seems to be going well. Thanks everyone!
The steering group (Virginia, Simon, Alicia, Sue and Barry) met together on Friday 25 June to catch up following easing of pandemic restrictions with the following agenda items: Block 3, payments, communication.
Block 3 as planned:
Wed 14 July – Wed 10 Sept (10 weeks) = $150
Simon will send out invoices soon. (note: you should have them now)
We’re working towards a performance (date to be confirmed)
Payments:
Repercussions from recent snap lockdown. We were able to make a retainer part payment to Wendy from balance of block payments. Up to individual members to request credits. Welcome to pay block in 2 installments. Decision to have casual attendance option at $20. Block payment does provide confidence with regard to Director fees and hire of venue going forward.
Choir communication:
During these tricky times we want to keep everyone in choir informed – this newsletter has also been sent to you via Mailchimp which is a more controllable way of handling ‘newsletter’ type emails (with the Mailchimp email you can ‘unsubscribe’ in the footer)
Note that the email address choir.mainesong@gmail.com goes to whole Steering Group – Simon (as official secretary!) usually responds
