Mainesong Reconvened

What comes after Covid?

Mainesong first term 2021!

Dear Mainesongers,
We are so pleased to let you know that Mainesong is back!

  • Wednesday 7.00 to 8.30pm
  • Six weeks – April 14th to May 19th inclusive
  • Cost: $90 (6 sessions @ $15/session)
  • Venue: Campbells Creek Bowling Club
100 Main Rd, Campbells Creek VIC 3451

The small group of us (Simon, Virginia, Barry, Alicia and Sue), working as a the Mainesong Steering Group, have created an ‘Unincorporated Association’ for Mainesong. This has allowed the Choir to set up a bank account, into which our fees can be paid, and from which we can pay our expenses and hire our Director

Mainesong has an email address

If you would like to contact the Steering Group on any matter concerning the Choir, you can reach us here …

The Big News – a new way of paying our choir fees

A’term in advance’ rather than ‘pay on the night’. We feel that Mainesong needs our commitment as choir members, meaning our time and our fees, and having ‘payment by term’ gives us secure means to meet financial commitments and hire our Director in a professional way.

Term 1 – the invoice has gone out

We have now sent an invoice for Term 1 Fees by email to everyone who has recently (pre-pandemic) been a member of Mainesong. If you would like to resume with the Choir please make your payment by EFT, the bank details are on the invoice.

If you have not received your invoice and would like to get things sorted let us know asap. You can send the Steering Group an email … choir.mainesong@gmail.com

If you are not intending to resume, or wish to be taken off the mailing list, then please let us know by return email. We definitely do not want to clog your inbox with unwanted emails, so let us know your preference and we will certainly respect your wishes

Our new venue – Campbells Creek Bowling Club

After a lot of research we’ve booked our new venue, Campbells Creek Bowling Club, for a 6-week block, with Wendy Rowlands as our Director. We intend to book further terms but think we should run through our first term first, see how it all goes, take stock and make whatever improvements we should, then book terms 2,3, etc. The CCBC is enthusiastic to be hosting the choir, and the path is clear with them for us to book further terms.

Campbells Creek Bowling Clubhouse is a clean and comfortable venue, conducive to a safe singing environment, with disabled access and toilets, lots of windows, hot water on the boil and great support from the CCBC committee. We will develop some ‘rules’ to help us work in with the new venue and we welcome your input about organising the tea break and anything else.

Yours in song – Simon, Virginia, Barry, Alicia and Sue
